Sardines Pizza Toast
Every day is always a good day for a Pizza Party! Create this budget-friendly and unique Sardines Pizza Toast that's good for up to 20 servings! You can also call in your friends and make this together for the ultimate bonding experience, resulting to the best pizza you'll ever have!
Ingredients:
1 can x 425g SABA Sardines in Tomato Sauce
2 Tbsp Cooking Oil
4 cloves Garlic, chopped
1 pc Onion, chopped
1 pc Red bell pepper, minced
2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
2 Tbsp Water
1/2 tsp Iodized Salt
2 Tbsp Sugar
1 tsp Onion Powder (optional)
1 tsp Garlic Powder (optional)
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/4 tsp Spanish Paprika Powder
1/8 tsp Italian Seasoning
1 pack Loaf Bread slices, toasted
Toppings
1 bar Cheese, grated
1 small can Mushroom, sliced
1 small can Pineapple tidbits
1 pc White Onion, sliced (optional)
Procedure:
1. Open the can of SABA Sardines in Tomato Sauce. Set aside.
2. In a saucepan, heat oil at medium heat then sauté garlic, onions and bell pepper until fragrant. Add the entire contents of SABA Sardines in Tomato Sauce and the rest of the ingredients for the pizza sauce except the bread slices.
3. On medium heat, simmer sauce for about 5 minutes while stirring occasionally and breaking the fish into your desired size.
4. Remove from heat and transfer contents to a big bowl.
5. Spread about 1-2 tbsp of SABA Sardines Pizza Sauce on 1 slice of toasted loaf bread. Top with grated cheese, mushroom slices and pineapple bits. Repeat procedure for the remaining bread slices.
6. Pre-heat oven toaster. Place sardines pizza and toast until the cheese melts, about 5 minutes. Toast the remaining sardines pizza.
7. Serve while hot.
